SOA signs off on ergonomic study and complete project management
SOA is supporting the modernization of Marseille-Provence airport with the creation of the Airport Operations Center (APOC), an area of over 1,000 m² designed to centralize all control and coordination stations in a single room.
Our mission: to carry out the ergonomic study and provide complete project management for this strategic project, which marks a decisive step in the optimization of airport operations.
APOC, the airport's future nerve center
TheAirport Operations Center (APOC) is designed to be the operational heart of the airport. It brings together
security, safety, technical coordination, aeronautical and passenger operations, as well as IT.
Objective: improve cross-functionality and responsiveness thanks to a collaborative space where each team can intervene in real time.
SOA's contribution: ergonomics and efficiency
In addition to managing the site, SOA carried out an in-depth ergonomic study to ensure :
- smooth operation of operator stations,
- optimal comfort for teams in stressful situations,
- greater efficiency in the simultaneous management of operations.
This approach has enabled us to develop concrete solutions, such as the integration of simplified tools (a single keyboard and mouse per workstation, as opposed to several previously) and the setting up of collaborative workshops to configure and test future workstations.
Proven expertise in Marseille-Provence
APOC complements the work already carried out by SOA on the site:
- Fitting out Safety Control Stations,
- Central Control Station (PCR),
- Operations Coordination Centre (PCE),
- Safety Operations Unit (CES).
These projects confirm SOA's ability to manage large-scale technical and ergonomic projects in the airport sector.
