Since 1975, SOA has been designing workspaces centered on people. This focus on the men and women who work in the control rooms we design is the natural starting point for our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach.

In June 2026, this initiative was recognized with the EcoVadis Gold Medal, which ranks SOA among the top 5% of companies evaluated worldwide.

Our Vision for CSR

For SOA, CSR is not an afterthought—it is an extension of our core business. Designing an ergonomic, sustainable, and safe work environment is, in itself, a way to promote the well-being of our operators, enhance our clients’ performance, and manage our environmental impact.

Our Four Commitments

Environment

We minimize the environmental impact of our operations at every stage, from design to installation. Our technical furniture is manufactured in-house at our workshops in France, which reduces transportation and allows us to control the choice of materials. Our designs incorporate natural light, high-performance lighting solutions, and acoustic treatments that enhance comfort while reducing energy consumption. The renovation and retrofitting of existing facilities—at the heart of our expertise—extend the lifespan of equipment rather than replacing it.

Social Issues & Human Rights

People have been at the heart of our projects since 1975. Ergonomics is not an option: we select furniture and workstations first and foremost for the comfort of our operators, because a well-designed environment helps maintain alertness and health in workstations that are often occupied 24 hours a day. Internally, we apply this same standard to our teams through our health and safety management system (MASE certification). Sharing knowledge is part of our DNA: for the past twenty years, we have welcomed and trained young people every year through internships, from 9th grade through college.

Business Ethics

The trust placed in us by major players in the industrial, energy, and security sectors is based on rigorous and transparent practices. This commitment is one of the strongest points in our EcoVadis assessment.

Responsible Purchasing

Our manufacturing in France and our local partnerships go hand in hand with a careful selection of our suppliers, particularly for the furniture and technical components we incorporate into our products. We prioritize reliable partners, chosen based on the quality and durability of their products.

Recognition verified by an independent third party

EcoVadis Gold Medal 2026 — Overall Score: 85/100 — 98th percentile (top 5% globally)
This distinction, achieved on our very first assessment, is based on an independent analysis of our policies, actions, and their results across the four commitments listed above. Our highest scores were in the Environment (98/100) and Ethics (94/100) categories.

This recognition can be viewed on our official EcoVadis recognition page.

Our Certifications and Qualifications

Our approach is based on certifications issued by independent organizations: ISO 9001 (quality), MASE (health, safety, and environment), Qualianor—radiation protection (ref. 369 R, nuclear), and our membership in the Nuclear Valley competitiveness cluster.

A continuous improvement process

The Gold Medal marks a milestone, not an end goal. We are continuing the work we have begun to make progress across each of our four pillars and to make CSR a shared reflex at all levels of the company.

A Message from the Chief Executive Officer

“This gold medal recognizes the hard work and values of an entire team. Since 1975, we have placed people at the heart of our projects; this recognition confirms that technical performance and responsibility can go hand in hand.”

Florent Cuculiere, Chief Executive Officer
